RouterOS Sky VDSL Configuration

Configuration for VDSL on Sky using MER (DHCP Options 60 & 61). Note this page is not completed fully at present.


Prerequisites

This is assuming you are using home (may work with small business connections) Sky ADSL/VDSL in the UK and are using a MikroTik RouterOS router along with a DSL modem. For this example, we are using an Openreach VDSL modem, as below.

VLAN Tag

Sky uses a DHCP option known as MER. As far as I am aware it is the only ISP in the UK to use this. The client must send options 60 and 61, as below.
